Hu Shi



      Hu Shi (1891-1962), Famous scholar, educator in modern times. He used to advocate the reform of literature and was one of famous leaders during the New Culture Activity. He used to work as professor of Shanhai Guanghua University, President of China Public School, dean of Literature School of Peking University, president of Peking University. He publicized pragmatism and accomplished many works that produced great influence in the fields of education and academy.
